Board Meeting
December 2, 2009
Present:

President
Joe Brouillard called the meeting to order at 5:45 PM
Secretary’s Report
Sue Erwin’s
report of the August board meeting and the Gala were reviewed and accepted by
the BOD.
Treasurer’s Report
Brenda
Iemma presented the treasurer’s report, and the report was accepted.
Tournament Manager’s Report
September Sectional
Joe
Brouillard announced that the unit made a profit on the September
Sectional. He reiterated that it is easier to manage the sectional if not
playing.
Gala
The Gala
ran at a loss of over $1300, roughly costing $37 per person. The favors were a hit. Attendance was lower than usual.
The recommended
changes in the Bylaws were not were not voted on at the Gala because they were
not published in the 2009 Bridge Bits.
They will need to go in the 2010 Bridge Bits.
There has
been a change in the June 2011 sectional date to June 11th and 12th.
Brenda will
check to see if we need a deposit for the Gala in 2011.
Lois
suggested that we have a third caddy at sectionals to help with
hospitality. A motion was put forward,
seconded and unanimously accepted.
Lois
suggested that we own a third coffee pot. After discussion it was decided to purchase a
100 cup pot.
New Business
It appears
that the 2014 Fall Nationals will be held in Providence.
Joe
Brouillard and Brenda Iemma were recognized for their continued service to the
Unit.
The next
sectional will be January 30th and 31st at the Johnston
Senior Center.

was adjourned at 6:28PM
