Old Business

President Bob Erwin called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm. Those present included Bob and Sue Erwin, Judy Biegner, George Cundy, Arlene Roberti, Bill Lang, David Prentiss, Brenda Iemma, Maureen Johnson, William Niemi, Lou Diorio, Joe Brouillard, Fred Rogler, Bill Shockley and Joe Gallagher. There was a vote for new board members Fred Rogler, Joe Brouillard, Bill Shockley, Joe Gallagher and Loretta Krebel. The vote was unanimous for all. WELCOME NEW MEMBERS!

The minutes from the last meeting were presented and accepted. Bob Erwin presented the Treasurer’s report in Nancy O’Donnell’s absence. The report was accepted. A discussion about the secretary taking on the Treasurer’s position, in combination with their other duties, was considered. It was determined that an Officer should not hold more than one office. Joe Brouillard volunteered to be Treasurer if Nancy decides she no longer wants to hold that office. Bob Erwin the Tournament Manager gave a report with a schedule of upcoming tournaments.

New Business

The need for more volunteers in Unit 145 positions was brought up. David Prentiss was nominated and voted into the Vice Presidents office. Bob Erwin handed out a list of existing positions and the following have volunteered( If not mentioned there was no change.)

Unit Recorder- Bill Shockley

Unit Tournament Manager- Joe Gallagher with Bob Erwin

Unit Publicity- Arlene Roberti for newspapers Bob Erwin & others for flyers.

Unit Education Liaison- Bill Niemi

Unit Naop/GNT Coordinator- Lou Diorio

A mentoring program was discussed and Lou Diorio and Bill Niemi have volunteered to look into it. Tax filings are needed for the unit and Joe Brouillard volunteered for that task.

The task to find a location for the Fall Gala was taken by Maureen Johnson. There were some complaints about Bridge Bucks being used at the last gala but it was decided to try it one more time. The awards to be presented at the gala have either been received or ordered at this time. Joe Brouillard volunteered to post directions to the upcoming sectional at Buttonwoods on the website. A bylaws committee consisting of: Bill Niemi, Judy Beigner, Arlene Roberti, and Bob Erwin, will review the need for bylaw updates

A motion was made by Bill Lang to raise the caddy fees to $30 a session. The motion was voted on and unanimously approved.

Bob Erwin thanked us all for coming and the meeting was adjourned at 6:45pm.
